Justice Studio is the in-house art studio program at the Pinellas Regional Juvenile Detention Center. It is a partnership between detained youth, NOMADstudio, and the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice. Twice a week NOMAD art therapist, teaching artists, a Pinellas RJDC staff member, and visiting artists work in small group sessions with youth detained by Pinellas, Polk, Hardee, and Highlands counties.
The program is a combination of indoor art studio sessions, and outdoor mural projects with youth-led decision making about project media and subject matter.
A $5/mo donation allows ONE detained boy or girl to participate in one session of Justice Studio.
