With brushes in our hands and paint on our aprons, we set out every day to bring art programming to those who don’t have access to it. In May 2018 we discovered a whole group of kids who don't...and who need it most.
Youth detained at Pinellas Regional Juvenile Detention Center have onsite school, but it does not include art class. In August 2018 NOMADstudio will launch Justice Studio, an in-house studio art program within the facility to provide youth in custody with a positive creative outlet.
We're spending June and July pulling some funding together to get this initiative rolling.
